Super Bowl Forecast

and last updated

Well, the weather is shaping up for the New York and New Jersey area just in time for Super Bowl Sunday.

It has been extremely cold in the Northeast lately but the afternoon high on Sunday will be a cool 50 degrees. Tailgating temperatures will be comfortable, but once the sun sets temperatures will start to fall. It looks like the temperature will remain above 40 degrees for the duration of the game with an overnight low of 29.

A few snow flurries are possible during the game, but most of the precipitation should hold off until after midnight. Another major concern during any outdoor sporting event is the wind. Good news for both players and fans is that winds should stay under 10 mph.

Overall the forecast is looking great for Super Bowl Sunday with the biggest concern being a few falling snowflakes.
