Showers and rain this evening are generally scattered, but numerous and non-severe.  Rain will be a major theme of the weather situation through Thursday with a tropical disturbance making a close approach to the region.  Check out the article in the Hurricane Center section of the website for details.

Temperatures overnight will be in the 70s with scattered, thickening cloudiness.  Rain still start sliding in from the Gulf Thursday morning.  As a result of the lack of sunshine, highs will be limited to the low and mid 80s.  The heaviest rain may be experienced along the coast and in some central and eastern counties, depending on where the tropical system moves.
