The cold front over the Deep South is still lingering and providing a focus for shower and storm development, but its southern progress has slowed. That has led to increased sunshine locally, warmer afternoon temperatures, and only widely scattered storm action. There's still a chance for a few more neighborhoods to receive a quick downpour or rumbles of thunder through the evening and night hours, with a little more favorability in interior south Georgia. Overnight temps will reach a low in the lower 70s. The weakening front will remain as a factor in storm formation Thursday, with coverage reaching 50% of the area. Highs will climb back into the lower 90s.
