Storm Team Wednesday evening forecast (02/05/2014)

Posted

Don’t be fooled by the warm, mostly sunny afternoon; the cold front from today will push nighttime temperatures as much as 40 degrees lower than what was experienced today.  We’ll continue to reduce the cloudiness in areas still dealing with an overcast sky.  Winds from the northwest will bring in the colder air, dropping lows into the 40° range, with some upper 30s in south Georgia and the interior west Big Bend.  Thursday will start with sunshine, but an active upper flow will bring in another shield of clouds, with a few embedded light showers by later in the afternoon.  Highs will be limited to the 50s as sun amounts are lowered.  Occasional showers are possible Thursday night through Friday morning, broken sunshine Friday afternoon, then another disturbance will trigger more showers Saturday with temps near or below average.
