While many areas received ample sunshine, clouds are building and thickening just to the west of the region. A weakening cold front will press eastward, losing more energy in the process. However, there's just enough moisture to increase cloudiness areawide later this evening, and just enough to warrant a slight chance for a few showers. Anything that forms will be light and should be brief. Favored areas for isolated showers are the Apalachicola/Chattahoochee river valleys and sections of southwest Georgia, with a scarcer chance in the central Big Bend overnight. Lows will be in the 60s with highs reaching the 80s Thursday with partial sunshine. We'll keep a sun-and-cloud blend into the weekend, with an upper disturbance nearing, creating more low-end rain potential.
