A stubborn deck of lower-level cloud cover has been eroding with afternoon warming, so by late today, more breaks of sun should be seen before dusk. There won't be major warming, though, with only some areas cracking into the 70s before temps fall through the 60s in the late-night hours. Early-morning lows will range from the mid 50s in interior south Georgia to low to mid 60s at the beaches. More sunshine is forecast for Thursday with less lower-atmosphere moisture to produce cloudiness. This should allow great amounts of heating, with highs climbing back into the low and mid 80s. Dryness stretches through the end of the week, with cool mornings and mild to warm afternoons.
