Storm Team Wednesday evening forecast (03/26/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Chilly air is still being forced into the area from the north, thanks to an intensifying low-pressure system off the Atlantic coast of the northeastern U.S.  This has delayed the anticipated transition of the winds to more of an easterly flow.  However, as the system moves more to the north, local high pressure will turn the winds to a milder east and southeast direction late tonight through tomorrow, helping to end the cold spell.  Tonight, though, will still feature below-average temperatures in the middle 30s with less wind.  In some places, we’ll double the temperature to highs in the lower 70s with filtered sunlight.  Thicker clouds will enter Friday as moisture is pumped into the region, leading to higher chances for showers and some thunderstorms into the beginning of the weekend.
