Very cold air surging southward on a strong northwest wind will set us up for a light freeze in many locations overnight. Fewer clouds will be around, and Thanksgiving should start off clear and chilly with lows around 27° to 32° with the exception of the immediate beaches. A freeze warning will be in effect overnight for this reason. We’ll have less wind, shifting northeast, tomorrow with abundant sun. Temperatures will remain below average, with highs in the middle 50s for most of us. Black Friday morning will also be cold with temps near freezing, but we’ll finally break into the 60s in the afternoon. Gradual warming will continue for the rest of the extended holiday weekend with scattered clouds by Sunday.
