Storm Team Wednesday eveniing forecast (07/24/2013)

Posted

The current stretch of disturbed weather across the region does show some signs of ending, with an influence of drier air cutting down on the moisture source that's been driving the rain development.  Also, the upper-level atmosphere won't be as supportive with the formation of rain and storm clusters.  For this evening, however, the unsettled trend remains, and pockets of heavy rain and active lightning will favor impacts across southwest Georgia and portions of the central and western Big Bend counties.  There is a limited risk for isolated severe storms with wind gusts.

Lows will be in the low to mid 70s tonight.  Highs Thursday will range from near 90° south to middle 90s inland.
