Storm Team Tuesday evening forecast (11/26/2013)

Posted

A tornado watch remains in effect for the eastern Big Bend and much of south Georgia until 10 p.m.  A strong low-pressure system and a cold front will move through the region later tonight, ending the severe weather threat but kicking off a cold start to holiday travels and Thanksgiving Day.  Lows will dip into the 40s overnight with a stronger northwest wind, which will carry very cold air on top of us and limit highs to the lower 50s Wednesday.  Clouds will break, leading to more sunshine by afternoon.  Freezing conditions are possible Thursday and Friday morning with a stretch of dry conditions leading into the end of the week.
