Unsettled weather conditions are gone from the region for quite a while ahead. A strong upper low over the Ohio Valley is working with a broad high-pressure system over the Plains to force drier air into the area, sweeping aside the excess clouds and storms we recently experienced. This dry corridor will continue, with few modifications, over the next few days. By later this week, winds will becoming more northerly and re-introduce colder air for the area. By the weekend, it is forecast to be quite chilly with freezing mornings, a sun-and-cloud mix, and highs only in the 50s. In the meantime, expect lows tonight to fall into the 40s regionwide, with highs rebounding to near 70 degrees Wednesday with more sun and clouds.
