The long-anticipated arrival of the cold front has occurred, and many locations will continue to experience cooling temperatures for the remainder of the evening with a few more breaks in the cloudiness. Northerly breezes will subside somewhat overnight, but enough cold air has entered to allow lows to be much closer to average, in the lower 40s generally. Mostly sunny conditions are expected for Wednesday with a little bit of patchy cloud cover ahead of another cold front. Since there won’t be as much moisture available, showers are unlikely except in isolated cases, and mostly in eastern counties. Highs will be in the middle 60s tomorrow. The stretch of coolness continues through Friday before a more-potent disturbance swings in by the weekend, increasing rain and thunderstorm chances around Saturday.
