The pattern of hit-or-miss showers and isolated storms remains in place this evening. Any areas of rain may be briefly heavy, but not expected to cover vast amounts of territory. These showers, forming with the seabreeze and near a stalled front in south Georgia, will diminish and dissipate late tonight, leaving mostly clear to partly cloudy trends and lows in the low and middle 70s. Slight hints of fog can’t be ruled out in the early-morning hours. The current front is forecast to fade away, but a second front will surge south into the Atlantic coast region, clipping the local area and perhaps giving slight enhancement to Friday’s afternoon shower regime. Highs will still manage to reach the low and mid 90s. Drier air behind the front will greatly reduce rain potential over the weekend, but temperatures will remain warm and near-average.
