This evening, shower action is rather subdued again, and the highest chance for an isolated shower will be placed in far eastern counties of the viewing area, generally east of Interstate 75. Otherwise, puffy clouds will thin out and most areas will transition to a mostly clear sky with overnight lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Light to calm conditions may accelerate the cooling trend across interior areas. Friday, a cold front will slide into the Southeast. Moisture will still be rather scant, so there won't be much support for widespread rain. Some interior south Georgia counties may encounter evening and nightting scattered showers or a storm. Highs will be quite warm, in the low and mid 90s. Weekend rain activity may reach its peak Saturday, and even then, coverage should remain scattered in nature.
