This evening, upper-level cirrus clouds will stream in from a batch of disturbed weather off the Emerald Coast. The showers … not directly related to Tropical Storm Karen … will remain offshore, leaving local rain chances next to zero for the next 12 hours. We’ll have areas of clearer sky overnight with lows falling into the middle to upper 60s. Friday, despite the tropical storm in the central Gulf, we’ll still have scarce chances for showers or storms. It will be generally partly cloudy to partly sunny and warm, with highs ranging from 85° to around 90° for a few spots.
Any local effects from Tropical Storm Karen will likely be experienced late Saturday into Sunday morning, with periods of rain, some wind gusts near the coast and offshore, and a slight risk for severe thunderstorms on the outer periphery of the system.
