Storm Team Thursday evening forecast (03/07/2013)

Posted

High pressure is ruling the local part of the atmosphere, keeping the region generally clear and unseasonably cool.  Aside from some passing upper-level cloud cover, temperatures will once again fall to below-average lows in the 30s Friday morning.  That, along with the lack of wind, will allow more frost to form overnight, so a frost advisory is in effect for most of the area.  The coldest inland areas may briefly reach freezing right around dawn.  Another day of ample sunshine will warm the atmosphere, and temps will make a run for 70 degrees in the afternoon.  There's no major cold air returning through the weekend and into next week; highs will reach the 70s each day.  The next rain chance comes with a frontal system as early as late Monday.
