The sun is back … but after dusk, the near-freezing chill will be back again. At least precipitation chances are zero tonight, but with less wind and dry, clear conditions, temps will plummet into the 30s overnight, bottoming out around the lower 30s inland, mid to upper 30s coast. Ample, lovely sunshine will return for Valentine’s Day as readings rise well into the 60s by the middle of the afternoon. Scattered clouds are likely late Friday night in advance of a fast-moving weak cold front, which may be capable of triggering a shower or two early Saturday before we go back to a sunny trend for the weekend. Above-average temperatures are forecast for most of next week.
