Storm Team Thursday evening forecast (10/23/2013)

Posted

The next cold front in this recent chilly spell is set to arrive late tonight and keep the constant flow of northerly winds and colder northern air in the region for the next two to three days.  Light winds overnight may actually help keep temperatures up a little bit, but still running several degrees below average for most locations.  Plenty of sunshine will continue Friday and through the weekend, but the additional cold air will offset some of the sun’s warming abilities.  Lows tonight will reach the upper 40s and lower 50s, while highs will be limited to the low and mid 70s Friday.  It will be occasionally breezy, but light winds, dry air, and a clear sky will establish a very cold Saturday morning.  A warming trend kicks in Sunday afternoon as winds shift from the east to southeast.
