The dominating high-pressure system will move directly over the region tonight.  This positioning will create the perfect set-up for maximum cooling early Friday morning, allowing temperatures to plummet to the lower 30s and creating areas of frost, especially in open, exposed, and rural areas.  The high will relocate over the Gulf Friday afternoon and beyond, placing the area into a west wind pattern that will wilt away any major cooling opportunities for the rest of the week.  Sunshine will continue in the afternoons, with maybe a few more clouds and moisture sources by Sunday, St. Patrick’s Day.  Highs Friday will reach the low to mid 70s, with upper 70s to around 80° possible this weekend.
