Storm Team Thursday evening forecast (01/24/2013)

Posted

A rather weak front across the Deep South will make a closer approach to the region overnight.  The most impact it will have on weather conditions is additional scattered clouds, which will, in turn, help keep nighttime temperatures warmer than previous nights.  Lows will fall into the mid 40s in most cases, which is a few degrees above  seasonal averages.  The front will retreat to the north tomorrow, keeping most of us in a warmer portion of the atmosphere and allowing highs to climb into the 70s with a mix of sunshine and clouds.  Rain chances are non-existent for the next 24 hours.  A second front will approach early Saturday, carrying a slim chance for an isolated shower and only a limited amount of colder air into the area.  As a result, weekend forecast temperatures are likely to stay near or above average.  Next week generally appears warm and unsettled at this point.
