As winds relax, the warmth received today will escape into outer space, leading to areas of frost and minimum temps low enough for a few hours around the freezing point. A freeze warning in is effect for many interior counties of the viewing region overnight. Lows will range from 29° to 32° in most inland areas, with lows slightly higher near the coast and likely above freezing. The warm-up resumes tomorrow with more sunshine and limited cloudiness with highs reaching 70° in some cases. Clouds will return later Saturday, and Sunday may feature occasional rain and some thunderstorms in the afternoon.
