Scattered cloudiness will be present in the sky above tonight and thickening over time on Friday. Southerly winds will increase in speed, carrying more moisture and eventually colliding with a cold front that will approach later Friday. Overcast conditions are expected by midday Friday with advancing showers, rain, and a few storms into the area. The overall severe weather concerns are low, as the bulk of the storm's upper-level support will ride north of the region. Still, a few storms may pack some gusty winds and downpours, along with frequent lightning. Lows tonight will fall into the middle 60s again, with highs Friday going into the lower 80s before the rain begins. The weekend will feature lingering clouds, leftover showers Saturday, and partial clearing into Sunday with remnant showers in southeastern areas.
