We will maintain dry conditions this evening through the first portions of Friday, with passing upper-level clouds and very little moisture here at ground level. We’ll have temperatures falling steadily after sunset into the 40s early Friday morning. Minimum temps will bottom out around 37° to 44° in most areas. Sunshine amounts will be reduced during Friday afternoon with thickening cloudiness ahead of the latest upper-atmosphere disturbance entering the Southeast. A few showers may develop in western sections by late afternoon, possibly spreading eastward late in the day. Highs will climb to near 70°. Winds will become more southerly, sustaining a warmer trend into the weekend, but also heightening the concerns for developing heavy rain and a few stronger storms with a broader low-pressure system swinging into the region over the weekend.
