An unsettled weather pattern remains, producing a scattering of showers and a few pockets of heavier downpours and thunderstorms near the Big Bend coast. With this complex situation, it's been tough to specifically highlight which areas are more favored for rain activity this evening and overnight, but overall coverage will be at least 30% during the nighttime period, consisting of mainly passing light to moderate showers. The low-pressure systems in the Gulf and the Mississippi River valley will dictate rain development and coverage Friday and Saturday before a drying trend tries to seep in early next week. Lows tonight will be in the middle 60s, and highs Friday climb into the 70s. Widespread severe weather is not anticipated.
