This morning's dry cold front renewed the cool air trend we've had for a few days, so we're set up for a mainly clear and chilly night across the Big Bend and southern Georgia communities. Winds will be light, but not often calm, so that may prevent us from getting to widespread light-freeze levels. Lows will still reach the 30s in most areas, with patchy frost possible. Winds transition to an east-southeast direction later tomorrow, opening the door to warmer and moister conditions for the beginning of the weekend. Friday highs will reach the mid and upper 60s. A storm system enters the area Saturday, spreading chances for heavy rain and a few thunderstorms over the area, some of which may stretch into the first half of Sunday. Clearing and cooling will occur afterwards.
