Weather features tonight through the weekend continue to be in quick transition. Winds will be light, calm at times, overnight, promoting cooling temps and lows in the lower 30s, with a few upper 20s possible early in the morning. West winds will permit a warming trend, with highs climbing into the 60s in the afternoon. Those west winds will occur ahead of our next swiftly moving front, sweeping through the region late Friday and carrying scattered clouds and a slim chance for an isolated shower. Yet another cold surge will take place Saturday morning with more light freeze conditions and chilly afternoon sunshine. Sunday will be slightly warmer with ongoing sun, then the next in a long series of front appears in the area by late Monday. It will sustain the colder-than-usual pattern into much of next week.
