We’ll finally experience a break in the record-setting warm spell for the region, as the Arctic front that’s been stalled over the Southeast for several days will finally get the push needed to force thicker clouds and a few showers into the area late tonight through at least the first half of tomorrow.  The warmest temperatures of the day will be experienced in the morning, with readings in the upper 60s and lower 70s, before the wind shift brings in a decline in temperatures later in the day.  Any rain action should be generally light, with a limited chance for an isolated thunderstorm.  Temps will fall into the 50s late tomorrow, bottoming out near average around 40° by Wednesday morning, with a gradual clearing trend and a sustained cooler trend expected through midweek.  The weekend is featuring a higher chance for rain with near-seasonable temps.
