Spotty areas of showers, rain, and a few storms have popped up in a scattered fashion across the region. These rainy sections have been slow to move but not incredibly strong. Locally heavy downpours are possible, but severe weather is unlikely. Late tonight, any shower action will diminish, leaving scattered clouds and breaks of clear sky. Lows overnight will fall into the low to mid 70s, near average. Many locations will get another day of ample drying before widely scattered showers and storms form again by mid-afternoon. With a west wind, highs will be propelled into the middle 90s.
Moisture, partly from the leftovers of the former Tropical Storm Dorian, may enhance rain activity by mid to late week. See our Hurricane Center for details about tropical weather.
