Excess cloudiness will be present tonight through most of New Year’s Eve, but rain is not expected to impact the area until later on New Year’s Day. A stronger cold front will dislodge the upper moisture source, eventually causing clearing for the end of the week, but until then, sunshine will be limited. Lows tonight will hover near 50°, and highs tomorrow may reach the low to mid 60s. Several chilly days are forecast for the weekend and parts of next week … but in the meantime, there will be no extreme cold air around for your end-of-2013 plans.
