Though a stream of upper-level moisture has produced filtered sunshine for most of Monday, as cold front is likely to move through the region late tonight and will help displace that cloudiness. A good deal of clearer sky is forecast late tonight through most of Tuesday, allowing ample sunshine during the afternoon. However, a new source of cold high pressure will follow the front, slowing down any warming trend that would have otherwise occurred, so afternoon readings are likely to be limited to the upper 50s and lower 60s after morning lows near 40 degrees. The coldest morning is forecast for Wednesday morning, with light-freeze conditions possible.
