Persistent cloudiness lingers across the region this evening, but will gradually break as we head into Tuesday. Some lower-level moisture and layered cloud cover is trapped underneath a warmer pocket of air aloft; it will take a little more time for the dry air to split the cloud bank and allow clearing. That process should, however, continue later tonight through Tuesday morning. Additional sunshine is forecast for the afternoon, which will stretch into the latter parts of the week. Lows tonight will be seasonable in the 50s, and highs should return to around 80 degrees Tuesday. Slight warming will occur each day this week. A slight chance for afternoon showers or a storm returns by Thursday.
