Generous rainfall has occurred over several western and central locations this afternoon, with a general zone of unsettledness over the area, supporting by a fast upper-level wind flow that has helped to promote areas of rain and embedded thunderstorms to form. We are not noticing huge potential for severe thunderstorms this evening, but pockets of downpours and occasional lightning are likely, especially focusing on south and eastern counties of the Big Bend by later tonight. Temporary drying and partial clearing may occur in southwest Georgia late tonight. Lows will fall into the mid 50s northwest to lower 60s southeast. Tuesday will feature breaks of sun, with remaining rain chances around the southeastern Big Bend, with highs in the lower and middle 80s away from any prolonged cloudiness.
