A modest tropical disturbance in the northern Gulf is helping to keep the moisture pump directed right on the region, so there has been no break in the mugginess. The moisture to fueling the scattered showers and storms that many coastal and north Florida regions have experienced. Inland areas have been slightly drier, but a few storms may pop in those areas in the early evening. Most rain action will diminish by midnight, except offshore. With a humid mix of sun and clouds, showers and storms will form again Saturday afternoon. Lows tonight will be in the lower 70s, and highs tomorrow will climb toward the 90-degree mark. A front in the Southeast will advance toward the region early next week; some of the dryness to the north of it will be felt here, reducing rain chances.
