MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The severe weather threat is over, and some clearing is occurring on the backside of the cold front that created the storminess of earlier today. The clearing is expected to only be temporary. The front is set to linger just to our south, and a wave of activity in the upper atmosphere is forecast to return clouds and showers to the region by Sunday. Saturday, however, should feature more sunshine, occasional clouds, and mild afternoon temperatures. Highs will reach the lower 70s following morning lows in the 40s. Showers and a couple of storms are possible Sunday, but severe weather isn’t anticipated at this point. Periods of overcast sky and showers will stretch into most of next week, with a strong front on Thursday bringing chilly weather into the region late next week.
