Storm Team Friday evening forecast (03/01/2013)

A cold air mass will control temperature trends over the weekend.  Below-average readings are anticipated for both weekend days, and a freeze is becoming more likely on Sunday.  Atmospheric moisture has kept the sky generally cloudy, and extra drying aloft may not occur until Sunday.  Saturday will feature limited sunshine, chilly northerly breezes, and highs only in the mid and lower 50s.  Tonight’s lows will dip into the 30s, but will stay away from the freezing mark in most locations.  Upper 20s and lower 30s are forecast for Sunday morning with afternoon temps rebounding only into the 50s.  Monday morning will be freezing as well before a jump in temps by the afternoon.
