For a change, shower and storm activity into the evening hours will be scarce. There have been a few popping up as a result of the daytime heating and the lift it can provide, but a small bubble of higher air pressures aloft is limiting the number of rain areas for the night ahead. Scattered clouds will thin out late, leaving a mostly clear sky overnight. Lows will fall to the lower 70s. Saturday, we'll have a slight return of the afternoon and evening shower and storm development, but near an average level of 40% coverage. Highs will reach the low and mid 90s. Another upper disturbance, similar to what was experienced earlier this week, will enter the region Sunday, enhancing rain and storm action.
