The latest cold front will enter and exit the region fairly quickly this evening. Scattered clouds ahead of this boundary are in the departing phase, so a clear sky will return by late tonight. The new cool high-pressure center will control temperature trends late tonight with a very good chance for many areas to experience sub-freezing temperatures for lows. Mid to upper 20s are possible away from the coast, with lower 30s at the shore. A freeze warning is in effect for the early Saturday hours for the vast majority of the viewing region. Readings will rebound to the lower 60s in the afternoon with bountiful sunshine. Sunday also starts cool around 30° in the morning, then highs climb more into the 60s with a mostly sunny sky. Scattered clouds will be around at times next week with a continued milder trend and chances for isolated showers.
