We’ve been in autumn for a few days, but the local weather pattern finally reflects the change in the seasons. A large high-pressure system is producing a northeast wind flow that’s carrying in much drier air from the continental north, with a noticeably cooler trend flowing along with it. As a result, rain chances are nil and the sky will return to a clear status overnight as lows fall into the lower 60s. Highs Saturday will be warm, but only in the low to middle 80s with continued lower humidity values. A few passing clouds are possible in eastern counties with an Atlantic moisture source nearby, but showers are unlikely area-wide. Sunday will have similar features and only an isolated shower possible near and east of Interstate 75. A slow increase in moisture and temperatures is foreseen for next week.
