MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Aside from some areas of scattered clouds in northern parts of the region early Saturday morning with a fast-moving disturbance, the two days of the weekend should feature glorious sunshine and a warming trend. A bubble of high pressure aloft over the Gulf of Mexico will promote the temperature rebound, after starting off in the mid and upper 30s Saturday morning. Highs in the afternoon will reach the lower 70s, and then make a run toward 80° Sunday afternoon. Early next week, a cold front will approach with more clouds, but it appears to lose a lot of its force, so rain chances will be somewhat low. However, a Gulf system Thursday may produce heavy rain. We’ll continue to monitor trends for local thunderstorm chances.
