TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Monday will be cloudy with a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. Highest rain chances will be seen by our communities in southwest Georgia and the western Big Bend.
A stationary front is sitting over central Florida, but is expected to move northward as a warm front over the next day or so. As it nears the Florida Gulf Coast, we'll see our moisture levels increase. This will help support rain and thunderstorms throughout the day on Monday.
Highs heat to the lower and mid 70s with easterly winds, about 5 to 10 mph, becoming southerly by Monday night. Monday night lows will be mild with many cities only dipping to the upper 60s.
Tuesday will also hold the potential for strong storms for develop. Rain chances remain on hand for the first half of the week. On Thursday, rain will start to push east out of the area. Once the skies clear out, cooler air will move into the area. Friday and into the weekend, daytime highs will stay in the lower 60's.
