TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Danny has broken up and remnants are all that remains. Thunderstorms are still associated with Danny but winds have dropped to 30mph, and will continue to weaken.
The next potential system would be named Erika. This tropical wave, 98L, is approaching the Lesser Antilles and has a 90% chance of cyclonic formation. Satellite imagery is showing that the low pressure is becoming more defined and organized. A tropical depression is expected to form later today or tonight.
Another tropical wave near the Cape Verde Islands has a 10% chance of cyclonic formation over the next couple of days. Conditions are looking slightly unfavorable for any further development.
