Looking at the tropics, we are still seeing plenty of moisture from what was, “Karen” pumping showers and thunderstorms into the Big Bend region. Conditions off the coast of Africa are looking pretty quiet. There is a small wave several hundred miles southwest of the Cape Verde Islands, that is producing showers and thunderstorms, but as of now this disturbance only has a 20% chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
