TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- Disorganized shower activity continues in a disturbance near the Bahamas this morning. Surface pressure remains high and there are no signs of circulation so this system has a 10% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. This will continue to move west-northwest at 10-15 mph and produce heavy rainfall.
An area of low pressure towards the east-northeast of the Leeward Islands has a 90% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. Even though the thunderstorm activity has become more organized the center of circulation isn't well defined. If the circulation becomes better defined a tropical storm could form later today. The low will move northwestward at 15 mph over the next few days.
