TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- Post- tropical cyclone Hermine has 70 mph sustained winds and is moving north at 3 mph. There has been a increase with convection associated with Hermine but wind speed has remained the same and is not expected to intensify further. Hermine will continue to weaken over the next few days. It will continue to move northward before turning towards the northwestward later tonight, and will continue to push towards the open Atlantic.
A broad area of low pressure near the Lesser Antilles has a 30% chance of cyclonic formation over the next 5 days. There are some heavy rain bands and tropical storm force wind gusts associated with some of the storms but significant development is unlikely as it pushes west at 15-20 mph.
