Tropics in the Gulf of Mexico continue to look quiet for today. One area of low pressure located about 600 miles Southeast of Bermuda has become better organized over the past few hours. This system has a 40% chance of becoming a short lived tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours as it slowly tracks northward.
