Hurricane Season

The Atlantic Basin is looking quiet today, and no tropical development is expected in the next 48 hours. A few areas of tropical moisture extends from Cuba through the southern Caribbean. Some tropical moisture is reaching the Big Bend and into southern Georgia. That moisture will continue to affect our local area as a stationary front works with the onshore winds to bring the moisture inland with rain chances around 60%. The areas of tropical moisture in the Caribbean are not expected to develop into a tropical depression. It is just bringing rain to the regions it lingers over.
