Monday morning Storm Team forecast (09/16/2013)

Posted

A weak high pressure system sits to our north this morning, producing a moist easterly flow for our area coming off the Atlantic Ocean. This will mean muggy conditions for the day today, and a 30% chance at some showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs will reach the low 90’s in inland areas, with temperatures right around 90 at the coast. The region stays under the influence of a weak high pressure system for the rest of the week, keeping conditions warm and muggy with rain chances around 20-30% for the rest of the week. A weak frontal boundary increases rain chances slightly and decreases high temperatures to the high 80’s over the weekend.
