MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- A stalled-out, broad area of disturbed weather stretching from the eastern Gulf, across the Florida peninsula, and into the western Atlantic is being monitored for subtle signs of organization, but it's quite unlikely that a tropical system will develop in the near-term future. The disturbance's interaction with land will be an inhibiting factor in any efforts to strengthen. Most forecast guidance data also discount the chances of further development. Heavier rain is still possible along the Florida West Coast, but it's doubtful a full-fledged tropical depression will form.
There are no other points of interest in the tropical waters of the Atlantic basin.
