MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- There are no threatening waves of disturbed weather in the tropical Atlantic basin that would cause any local concern. A few waves of moisture are positioned in the southern latitudes of the North Atlantic in the Cape Verde region, where, late in August and through mid-September, tropical systems are more prone to form. But, the current action does not have high potential for development in the next few days. A remnant low-pressure swirl farther north in the north Atlantic has minimal chance to form into a better-organized tropical low.
