The tropics look fairly calm at this time. There is no activity in the Gulf of Mexico. There is a small disturbance producing some shower and thunderstorm activity a few hundred miles East of the Bahamas. This system only has a 10% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours.
